What's the best equipment to use? (Your Coffee Pot)
How you brew your coffee is another matter of personal choice. Plunger pots, designed in the 20's, have a glass cylinder with a stainless steel mesh filter. Very hot water is poured over grounds and left to seep for about four minutes. The filter is "plunged" down through the water, trapping the grounds at the bottom. Percolators have fallen out of grace because pumping water up over the grounds causes the coffee to become bitter. We suggest drip pots, both electric and manual, because you pour hot water over grounds only once.
