 F. Gaviņa & Sons, Inc., began installing a state-of-the-art coffee roasting plant in Vernon, California in December 2003. We moved all of our operations from our 51st Street plant to the new Fruitland plant and our installation is almost complete. We hope to be done by December 2005.
The design and installation of our new facility were created with three (3) things in mind: Quality, Efficiency and Safety.
We have a green coffee cleaning station which passes the green coffee through 6 cleaning methods before it is roasted to ensure that any foreign objects, metal, or debris that could be mixed in the green coffee are removed before roasting.
Mechanical cleaners used after roasting remove any foreign objects that were not removed by the green coffee cleaning station. These cleaning systems allow us to maintain the highest product integrity during production and provide our customers with a quality coffee.
